Bathroom Storage Solutions to Keep Your Clutter Under Control
Shower Baskets
If you find that you have bottles of shampoo and shower gel getting in the way when you are trying to enjoy your shower, consider installing a shower basket. They can be fixed to the wall inside shower cubicles with ease, and you can choose from a wall basket or a corner basket in a range of different styles to complement the style of your bathroom.
Under-the-Bath Storage
The bath takes up a lot of room in any bathroom, but there is no reason why you should not convert the area to provide you with more storage. By raising the bath a few inches, you can insert draws underneath the tub, which are the ideal place to store cleaning implements and spare towels. It is quite a job and you will probably need a builder to help, but it can certainly help to free up a lot of space.
Sink Cabinets
If you just have a sink with no cabinet surrounding it, you are wasting space. By fitting a simple cabinet around the base of the sink, you can cover up the unsightly pipes at the same time as adding a large storage space where before there was none.
Bathroom Cabinets
You can also add some more storage above the sink to make even more use of the space available. Many people choose to install a simple cabinet above the sink where they can store items such as razors, creams and bottles. It is also a good idea to add a mirror to the face of the cabinet.
Over-the-Toilet Shelves
The space above the toilet cistern is rarely used, so take advantage of the wall space on offer and erect some shelves. You can then use these to keep all of the items that are getting in the way, and it provides a very cheap storage solution.
Get More from Your Bathroom
Your bathroom should be a relaxing place where you can go to unwind, but if it is full of clutter it can be the very opposite. Consider some of the above tips to improve the storage in your bathroom, especially if it is small and overcrowded with items that really should be stored away somewhere. Also consider doing something really simple by placing towel hooks on the back of the door and utilising this space as well. There is never enough space for towels, so this can help you to make use of the space available even more.
