Construction requirements
Requirement to substrates prior to membrane installation
Concrete (incl. mortar screeds)
-horizontal: steel trowel finish
-vertical: formwork finish free from honeycombing
-free of protrusions, dust and loose particles
-free of formwork-oil and grease
-reinforcement steel cover > 30mm
-all penetrating steel elements in stainless steel
-surfaces disinfected i.e. with sodium hypochlorite 15%
(soluted 10% in water) as per water authority

Quality Control
Quality Control according to ISO 9002 demands for basement waterproofing to check:
- substrate conditions are as specified
- products supplied to site are as specified
- application procedure is according to manuals
- control of installed product for watertightness
- inspection and acceptance of applied product by clie
- suitable protection of applied product
These measures ensure the prevention of leaks!
Quality Control on site is the responsibility of the waterproofing contractor
CHECKS FOR INSTALLATION OF SHEET MEMBRANES:
- Membrane products delivered to site: Acceptance of substrates
- Identification of products and quantities are as ordered: Report on waterproofing works
- Conformity of delivered products with specifications: Recording of welding parameters
- Control of membrane storage on site: Quality Control of welded seams
